I think that just because the seats recline so far back, doesn't mean you have to recline into the person's lap behind you. (not specifically to the OP, just in general) You can recline just a bit so that everyone is comfortable.

Once recently on a flight I had to ask the person in front of me to adjust their seat since it was so far back I couldn't even get my tray table out. I don't think I was out of bounds to do so, and the person was quite apologetic for being so far back.

Just because you "can", doesn't mean you "should".
