I only knew about the new check in "room" since I got a call from CK on Friday regarding my flight on Monday and the new procedure. There was a red coat person outside with a list on her hand and checking the names of the passengers.
Since I was the first person to go through it, I chatted with the staff around and they mentioned their desire to expand the service to DFW, MIA, ORD and JFK.
For those that have to go through passport/visa check in international routes, I found to be a great service.
