HUNDREDS of seats to tomorrow's grand final could remain empty due to unsold corporate packages that were offered at prices inflated beyond demand.

Package sellers, including the owners of Etihad Stadium, last night were scrambling to dump unsold tickets for hundreds of dollars less than their initial advertised prices.

Insiders told The Age that the corporate package vendors had raised prices too far this year. Some so-called premium packages, including food and entertainment, were advertised for more than $2000, or more than 10 times the price of a regular grand final seat.
