Unusual (holiday) SWA schedule extension imminent
SWA is still indicating their schedule will be extended on Monday, September 5, the Labor Day holiday. The new last bookable date is supposed to be April 9, 2012.
If recent history holds you will have to be a real early bird on the holiday if you want the worm. On the other hand, perhaps the holiday opening will serve as an alternative way to spread the load such that the pre-dawn opening won't be necessary. A remote third possibility is that SWA expects this opening to create so much demand that both the holiday and early hour will be needed to avoid a system meltdown.
