Hmmm. Are we thinking this is a new development then? A change from the past Flexible Elite Miles benefit?
I've currently got 41,000 Flexible Elite Miles in my account, earned on this card. (Lots of long haul international travel in business class.) I've never used any of the Flexible Elite Miles, never had to but I'm retiring soon and they will come in handy then!

So it looks like we are going to be capped at 5k Flex EQM (which directly conflicts with their statement that you can earn Elite Status by spending on your card).
