You might want to consider an oddball connection like LAX-MCI-ATL.
LAX-TPA/MSY/MIA-ATL.....may be easier than MCI, as LAX-MCI is on the E-175.....
LAX-ATL.....please select your exit row seats while they are available and forget about FC, UG's are strictly for Plats & Diamonds to battle at the gate.....
