CO does serve meals on its longer ERJ flights - I have had a meal IAH-SAV. Not a hot meal, but a meal nonetheless - sandwich for lunch, cereal for breakfast. CO's website has an interesting 360 degree view of the ERJ galley in the Fleet section, if you're interested.
