I guess this confirms the answer to my long-lasting question regarding how "anomalies" in intimate areas detected with whole body scans are "resolved". They are, in fact, "visually inspecting" them.
Must remember never to use sanitary pads, only tampons, when traveling, in order to avoid strip searches.
