In an offline kiosk, assuming there's even a printer, what would one do with this receipt with a signature line?

I'm glad things are finally moving but it's Chip and PIN most travelers want so the Chip & Signature solution doesn't help me. I need a solution for the 5% of the time - such as at unstaffed petrol stations or certain train ticket kiosks - where the only option is a chip & PIN card. Otherwise, the other 95% of the time a signature is no problem, chip or mag-swipe.
