There is an extra 3 to 4 inches of legroom due to the above mentioned outward angle of the seats. I was more than comfortable for my 14 hours in the plane (two hour fuel divert).

I am not worried about meal selection as they all suck, my disadvantage though was being almost last off the plane equals near the back of the immigration line, which added another 30 min or so I would guess from when the people up front got through the counter.
