I was rather bemused to note an article in the "Philippine Inquirer" today:
MANILA, Philippines—Hold your breath a little bit longer.
Stung by criticism that Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) is one of the world’s worst airports, officials promised to clean its Terminal 1 toilets by providing running water, toilet paper and soap—all within two to three months.
Jose Angel Honrado, general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority, told the Inquirer in an interview last week that the agency had imposed upon itself the task of renovating all toilets in the three Naia terminals by June or July.
Well, that's comforting to know!
