Our pm tour kicks off at 1300 from the Holiday Inn Esplanade followed by a pickup from the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza at 1305 before we make our way firstly to the Darwin's Aviation Heritage Centre which is home to Australia's only B52 Bomber. Markis10 will do a spiel on ATC bits n pieces & other things technical.
After we've had our aviation fix for the day we head over to the East Point Military Museum at Fannie Bay which features armoured vehicles, artillery pieces, engines & other machines of war, an extensive collection of military firearms. You also see a 15 min video of the bombing of Darwin by the Japanese on 19 Feb 1942.
We return approximately 1630 to give you time to get ready for our dinner at Crocosaurus Cove at 1800 which is an easy walk from your Mitchell St Hotel.
