I don't see anything in the ad copy or T&Cs that would indicate this promo can earn elite qualification miles on AF/KL. The AWD will differ depending on one's status. But I see no difference in what one earns with this promo based on their FB status.
IMHO, they've overly complicated this promo. If a silver and a plat both earn the same 51,500 award miles for their 6 rentals why the different AWDs? ? ! ?
Tell me this. If I'm Silver with FB and use the proper AWD for my reservations but during the promo period I advance to Gold status do I need to re-book any future reservations with the AWD for Gold members? If I don't have I given Avis a loophole on the terms of earning the miles?
Again, overly complicated without any benefit as far as I can see.
Edit: Oops. I see now that one's status with FB will affect one's discount rate with Avis and thus the reason for the different AWDs. This must be new... or I've been out of touch.
