Nicely done.

I had a similar experience recently coming back into Boston from overseas. The customs police are horrible in this situation. If someone is ill, one thing the customs officers have to consider is the communicability (ie, do they need to quarantine). They're supposed to let the medics hops right on the plane, see the patient and make the determination, then if there is no risk, clear the passengers to deplane. It was mayhem as well in Boston and the officer started screaming at passengers. Once I cleared customs I went to the back office and reported him. What a way to enter the country!
