Given that AS has said they'd like reciprocal elite recognition with AA explicitly, repeatedly, and publicly, and that AA customer service (not any executive, but still in writing) told me a year or so ago that they do not plan to have reciprocity with AS because it would dilute AA elite benefits too much, I'd say it's a
very safe guess that it's AA dragging their feet. That doesn't mean AA can't or won't change their mind, though. Here's hoping....
