Fair enough. If it is any comfort to you - as 1K million miler (soon 2MM) of 13 years on UA and on full fares, I have no chance to get upgraded either on the SFO-SYD route.

If you pay for premium eco, then QF is of course infinitely better a product than UA's E+. Also - at least in my opinion - because their birds are in much better shape than UA's.
