Be even more leery of an international F trip where the best snack in the lounge is any sort of Doritos.

The sad thing about this is that, although I've never flown AA int'l F, I've flown plenty of UA int'l F, back when the soft product was great. Many of these same FAs still are on the job (same as AA) but now have turned into tired, bitter people that need to have retired. So, they know how to do it, and even when they don't have a good product to serve you, can do it with a smile. Alaska Airlines usually does it - even when they have crap or some inferior or inadequate product, it is usually a pleasant flight.
