It won't. You'll be good. Plus, Lenovo monitors batteries via its ThinkVantage software and alerted me to a free battery replacement on my 9-cell - all automated, no muss, no fuss, new battery arrived at my place, I swapped the old battery, sealed up the box with an included UPS-paid sticker, and dropped it off at the UPS store.
