The least 'blech' I've had is Wolfgang Puck, but it's still blech. On the rare occasions when I buy canned clam chowder, I usually buy a can or two of chopped clams to add to it.

I used to do that a lot when I did my own shopping. Without adding some extra clams, you end up having potato chowder with some of these can ones.
