AMEX charges service fee
I booked Jet blue ticket recently so that I could get double pts on the amex travel website. When the total price came up it showed fees of approx $28, knowing that prices quoted didn't include taxes and fees associated with airline, I thought it was the airline charges. Lo and behold on my statement was a $6.99 charge to book my own ticket thru their website. I know its not alot, BUT I thought there are many sites with no service fee, also what was worse, was that they said I couldn't book seat assignments, so I had to go to the jet blue site anyways pull up reservation and get the seats. BEWARE, if you don't know like I didn't that there IS a service charge when booking airline and some hotel reservations! I thought it used to be FREE on their website.
