#1 - One World have a ticket which gives you 4 continents - 20 sectors (I recall)
Does Star Alliance have a similar ticket?

#2 - Has anyone done RTW runs and if so what sort of miles that can be achieved?
I would be doing this in business

The Oneworld Explorer is priced according to the number of continents touched, from 3 to 6. It's been limited to 16 segments for a couple of years now, owing to the requirements of e-ticketing.

Star Alliance and Skyteam also have RTW products, however unlike the Oneworld Explorer they're sold with various maximum mileage tiers, from 26,000 to 39,000 miles. They're also limited to 16 segments.

It's fairly easy to structure a 3-continent OWE itinerary that will yield 50,000 - 55,000 BIS miles; with 4 continents you can hit 60K with a little ingenuity. How many miles/points that will yield to you depends on the FF program to which you credit the miles. For an AA Plat or EXP with 100% mileage bonuses (on most, not all carriers) and with the business/first cabin bonus, it's not terribly hard to net 120,000+ spendable miles with a RTW itinerary.

For *A programs, it will depend on the particulars of the program you use, as well as which tier of RTW maximum mileage you buy.

There are numerous threads, pointers, route optimizing posts etc. dealing with RTW products and strategies in the "Global Alliances" boards on FT.
