It is not uncommon for a carrier to have a lounge independent of the alliance. Oneworld Emeralds are allowed access to First Class lounges, but British Airways will only admit First Class pax (never emeralds (even though they are entitled) ) into the Concorde Room. If you are an EXP, try to get into the Concorde room with a C boarding pass, you will be turned down. You can only get in with an F boarding pass on British Airways.
