PMU upgrade at airport successful
Purchased an M fare weeks ago and Z availability never opened. Arrived at TPE airport 1 1/2 hours before departure and asked to be placed on the airport standby upgrade list. After a few minutes and consultation with another agent, they (apparently) confirmed me into business and gave me my board cards, both from TPE to NRT and onwards to DTW (same flight number). There were between 0 and 5 J seats available for purchase in the past week. I'm happy that things worked as they should have.
My only concern is my reservation shows the upgrade status as "Standby Listed" (it previously said "Waitlisted") with my old seat numbers. Sure hope my boarding passes trump what is listed online.
