No more recent, but I can provide my experiences.

I went last Labor Day and will probably go again this Labor Day, so that should tell you something.

• Great location right on the beach - we had an ocean-view room with a balcony, and the view was really nice
• The room is a bit on the old side and certainly won't "wow" you, but then again I'm not sure if anything on VAB would except for maybe the Hilton
• As a Plat, I was given breakfast for the two of us in the restaurant - the restaurant has a great view of the water and the staff was very friendly
• Relatively nice pool with a good pool-side bar

In summary, this hotel is nothing fancy but for Virginia Beach I think it's great. Free parking right across the street, which is a great asset. Hope that information helps.
