This is a nice added benefit to the Platinum Card, the Executive Aisle typically has nicer vehicles than the regulard Emerald Club aisle, but I never rented from National enough to earn this on my own.
This has been a benefit of Amex Platinum Charge card for over 3 years at least as far as I remember and it is not by any means a new benefit.
