Using coins to buy money orders??
I have read a lot on about buying coins from the US mint and either bringing them to the bank or buying money orders.
The US Mint website says that the intent of the program is not to deposit them in your bank, but they are meant for circulating and when buying you have to agree to this.
I have read on websites that I can take them to a store and get money orders instead. I know Wal-Mart only charges $.60 for a $1,000 money order, so I ordered $2,000 worth and plan on getting 2 money orders to deposit in my bank and pay the card off.
Will you please share you experience with what kind of response you get?
I live in a very small town and am afraid that they will give me a hard time and think that the money isn't real or something and tell me they can't do it. Has that ever happened to any of you?
What about taking them to the post office to buy a money order?
