central Paris is not that big you can easily go to numerous synagogues in either 4eme or 9eme. (that's the number of district/arrondisement). The main synagogue on rue de la victoire on 9eme is beautiful, they have a daily miniyan and my husband enjoys going there if he's in Paris overnight.
You should be able to look up a list of orthodox synagogues that belong to Consistoire under
http://www.consistoire.org (check Communautes and Liste).
One thing you may want to bear in mind is that it seems majority of Parisienne synagogues are either sephardi or follow Nusach sephard. You can usually find someone who speaks English.
