New VRU for flight information
The Midwest Airlines voice response unit system changed to the same one as Frontier. It's still "separate" in that it has its own number and greeting, and if you do information for a Frontier flight it will say "operated by Frontier Airlines" (and vice versa if you check a YX flight on Frontier's VRU). But it is the same system which Frontier uses.
One of the most obvious change is that this really is "voice response" where you speak commands...the old one did not. Personally I prefer ones where you can do either voice or keyboard entry so I can get FLIFO quietly. And I knew the old system wel lenough to know just when I could do input and when I had to wait for it to finish.
One more way in which the two carriers are moving to a common platform...
