They have to be there and therefor swing out or up from somewhere. But the tray tables have to be in the arm rests. It would seem that there isn't enough room for both in the arm rests.
It looks like the same as it did in the old style. Both the screen and the tray are in the same art rest. The screen swings down in an L shape so it fits under the tray in the arm rest.
