Hubby is considering canceling his BA card to get the United one. His United application got reject the 1st round and the rep told him he can get approved if he cancels his BA card, not just reducing BA credit limit. I'm concerned he might lose his 100k BA miles (I can't find the t&c on how long he needs to keep the card in his BA card mailing). Has anyone else canceled their BA card to get the United card? I think a couple of posters up thread had closed their cards. I did as well. I had read all the T&C of the BA card and didn't see any language that the account must be kept open for 6 months. But, I don't think anyone knows for sure whether Chase would take away the BA miles at this stage.
