Air Asia uses LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) @ KUL, which is about 20KM away from the regular KUL terminal, and does not have direct access to the train that takes you in to Kuala Lumpur. If you want to take the train to get to the Sentral station in KL you need to walk to the bus terminal at the airport which at first seemed like a pain to find but after asking a couple of people for directions it turned out that it wasn’t too bad just about a 5-10 minute walk depending where you exit the terminal. There are lots of bus gates and you need gate 6 in order to connect to the proper shuttle bus which will take you to the Salak Tinggi KLIA Transit train station. The bus takes about 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes on the train and you are at the Sentral station in KL. A round trip ticket can be purchased right on the shuttle bus for RM22 (about $7). Make sure to hold on to this ticket, you will need to use it to enter/exit the train station and to show it to your bus driver on the way back.

On my way from LCCT to Sentral station via bus and KLIA Train
