London flight disruptions (Iceland volcanic eruption)

Today’s (15 April UK time) NZ1 London to Los Angeles and Auckland and NZ38 London to Hong Kong and Auckland are both cancelled.
Yesterday’s NZ39 service from Hong-Kong to London has diverted to Frankfurt Germany with passengers currently accommodated in hotels.
Last evening’s London bound services from Auckland (NZ 2 and NZ 39) will be cancelled at their transit stops of Los Angeles and Hong Kong respectively. Passengers are being accommodated in hotels.
The National Air Traffic Service has advised that restrictions to UK airspace have now been extended from 0600 (UK time) to 1300 (UK time) Friday 16 April.

This evening’s NZ2 and NZ39 are planned to operate this evening, however Air New Zealand advises passengers that there is a high probability that these services will terminate at Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

Air New Zealand strongly advises passengers planning to travel directly through to the UK on these services should NOT travel this evening.

Customers affected by delay or cancellations can either re-book on another Air New Zealand flight (conditions apply) or claim a refund.

Air New Zealand customers should check the Air New Zealand website for regular updates, call 0800 737 000 or check with their travel agent.
