Since the OP was aking about op-ups with a QF # on BA metal, I can say that its has never happened to me. But, I have never done this code share. I have, however, had international op-ups on QF and BA (flight # & metal).
I would have thought that the airline staff would give the op-up to "their own" first and only resort to the code shares if there was no other option?
