Blueboys999, I suggest that you contact Guest Relations. In North America we have a toll-free number (1-800-621-055), however, I have noted that you reside in the UK.

Guest Relations usually resolve things in a few days and as owners of this property, they take these complaints very seriously. You can submit your complaint via the following link:

The time for a response from Ambassador Services is unacceptable. I had a similar problem with another IHG-owned property and they resolved it to my satisfaction in under 3 days. They also deal with the GM of the property, who is accountable to them.
