We had originally been non stop on CX in J from JFK-HKG. We changed our tix to fly AA F to NRT and then onward. Live with your decision!!
Will JAL's change in alliances effect these award tix do you think?
An issued ticket should be honored and JAL isn't going to switch immediately if it decides to go to ST. It will take time for system changes and regulatory approvals. Rumor is that they won't switch until April 2011. Issued tickets should be good even after that but you might not be able to change your reservation after that though.
Is JAL F avialable? I would rather fly on JL005/006 to NRT if the JAL Suite is available. Also if you don't mind staying for a night at Tokyo, JL 731/732 has F service but it will be the old sky sleeper seats.
