"Planned 2010 summer schedule" wasn't in the plan when UA bid on and won the IAD-PEK slot, which many other airlines were hungry to get. Not sure how UA got permission to redraw the terms of that contract. I am sure that every other U.S. legacy carrier is gnashing teeth over the fact that UA promised daily IAD-PEK nonstops and is permitted to deliver an IAD-NRT-PEK route instead.
And for months beforehand was only serving IAD-PEK 5 days a week, not daily.
