FYI: I was just comped Marriott Platinum based on my SPG Platinum status. I had to fax them a complete listing of all of my stays last year to show them that I had in excess of 100 nights at SPG. Faxed and upgraded.

I also stayed at a Marriott property for the first time in two years last week, so it wasn't based on any decent history with the hotel chain. I believe I was silver a couple of years ago.

How 'bout them apples??!?!?!
