My wife & I stayed there last summer while on vacation. It was my first stay at a Renaissance, and we enjoyed it very much. I will admit that I kinda expected R's to be a step above a standard Marriott (they are supposed to be...right?) but didnt find it any nicer than most standard Marriott properties. Nonetheless, I would stay their again. The staff was excellent.

They vary a lot! The Chancery Court in London is amongst the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Then we went to Manchester on a family visit - what a dump! And relatively expensive.

The LHR R is often very inexpensive (as low as UK#55 recently, so I swap between there and the Slough Marriott.
