It sounds like, with what others have said, BA doesn't give you many, if any, options for non-BA metal. If I knew I had a good chance of getting some cheap AA award I would definitely go for it. I'm not a BA expert, but it seems that you can redeem for the (overpriced) oneworld award even if BA metal awards are available. It would be nice if someone can confirm this. Also, can you get non-TATL AA metal awards if BA metal is available? Is pricing for this different from the oneworld awards?
