Well looks like, according to my source, that ZK-JND is being flown to the desert today (Sat 10th Oct) after retiring sometime in the past week or so. JNC has been pulled out of its maintenance mishap (fixed up) and will fly for the next week before retiring as the last-ever Qantas 737-300. Rather ironic that this plane should operate the final domestic QF service and the final QF 733 service. I think it's fitting that Charlie should have had such an interesting career. I really think it should go the Qantas Outback Museum. Also, when it was flying within Australia as a QF mainline aircraft it is rather famous for being the 733 which had a terrible landing mishap in Darwin in Feb 2003. It ran off the runway and damaged some equipment on the ground. Simply type in VH-TJB in google and you will find the full accident description at the ATSB web-site.
