Just back from the Jumeirah and they were as good as their word. I emailed before I left asking if the offer was still open and got an immediate reply saying yes.
Was greeted by the front desk manager and escorted to exec floor for checkin and then had to wait for the operations manager as he wanted to personally greet me. Only drawback was waiting 3 hours for the room to be ready and the food at Pachanga. It was awful and had to send it back, the replacement dish was no better. One of the waiters said they had a new chef and he appeared at the end of the evening to play the bongoes !!
