Had a short stay at this Hotel a week ago, on checking out my partner disputed a mini bar charge for all of 5 Dhms so they removed it. When I got home I realised that we did indeed owe the 5 Dhms so I faxed them apologising and also asked about their Gold upgrade policy.
This was because I stayed there in September in a Deluxe + but the view wasn't that good. The same type of room this time was much better. Jumeirah e mailed me today explaining that I was upgraded this time but not in Sept because of the World bank meeting. It appears you get a better room but not on the exec floor, however I did get exec lounge access both times.
Now to the good bit, I've been asked to let the manager know next time I'm staying and they'll upgrade me to a suite. I was also described as " an esteemed Gold HHonors member "
