The table shows an example of someone who gets 200k MQMs. The result? They roll over anything above 125k, so in this case would start 2010 with 75k MQMs.
Not really unambiguously. It is unambiguous for 2010 and forward. However, DM won't become "effective" until sometime in the Spring (see the
FAQ just below the one referenced). Even if you exceed 125K EQM in 2009, "you will have Platinum Medallion credentials until ... the program begins in spring 2010". And "Diamond benefits will begin with the launch of the Diamond Medallion tier which will be spring 2010."
So the question of how many 2009 EQMs will roll over is not an unreasonable one. I agree that the likely answer is everything over 125K, but it would be nice if DL could clarify this. It would be even nicer if they threw their DMs-to-be a bone and allowed everything over 75K to roll over in this transition year. That would negate the perverse incentive they created for Plats to book away from DL so as not to exceed 125K.
