There is a Conrad about 5 blocks from this hotel. It is a small, quiet, luxurious property. I was upgraded to a junior suite. It is built in a historic building, across the lawn from the Casino. I paid $225 at the Hilton and $215 at the Conrad this past week; have no idea how their rates run usually.
BTW, I'm very impressed with the train service from the airport. The domestic and international terminals have trains very well integrated. You get off in town at either the Central Station or the Roma Station. My concierge had tickets back to the airport for just $5 (AUS).
