There is a Homewood Suites in Sandy that is nice, although its about 12 miles south of SLC just off the 215 FWY
There are numerous Hampton Inn's around SLC as well.
The A/P Hilton, I like, it also has a nice little bar in it which is a nice place to have a drink and relax.
