We stay there once or twice a year, and pretty well know the hotel policies. Popular place (especially for awards), so sometimes the club rooms are not available. If not, they will give you breakfast certificates for the buffet restaurant (really pretty good) in the middle of the Ocean Towers building if you press the issue politely. You can also ask to be placed on the waitlist for the executive club access rooms. Their policy is pretty strict on not letting you have access to the club (space limitations) unless you are in one of the exec rooms. Sorry, they won't upgrade you to a suite (we have tried multiple times)
While you are there, definitely go to Roy's for either lunch or dinner - yum yum and close to the hotel. The shuttle drops you right at the door almost.
Aloha!
