UA 839 arrived at SYD at 0730 - still late but the pilots did seem to make up some time .
Immigration was empty - no queues.
I missed the QF conx to BNE but I was able to get the QF agent to put me on the next flight out - not always easy to do if there are no cheap fare based seats on the flight .
