It's not a question of WX or not, I can concur with the other responses about getting original routing credit for WX cancellations/delays that would have had me miss my connection.
Again, might be the fact that you left from a different city. You could try faxing in, but I'd go by rule # 1 - if you don't like the answer you're getting, call back and find another agent.
