I told her she shouldn't even have that info, didn't know why she would. She said we could 'get around it' if I could confirm my work number (which has changed several times, same company). I finally remembered what it was years ago.

My Comcast account is in my daughter's name and, I presume, has her SSN on it. She set up the account 15+ years ago. When I talk to Comcast, I tell them that I am her but give the last four digits of my SSN - and they don't know the difference because they don't have my SSN.
At another time, I tried to cancel a cable account but could not because I needed the subscriber's SSN. So I just stopped paying the bill and pretty soon the account went away.
