Take HeX to and from the hotel - it is the quickest and the easiest way. The tube will take over an hour. I can only comment re Hilton Paddington and I would advise you to book an Executive room on a room only basis. You will get access to the Executive Lounge and they serve hot breakfast there. You really do not have to go for a bed & breakfast rate as I find breakfast in the lounge rather good.
